Tomato Tasting

In the late summer, the popular Tomato Tasting event helps energize members for a new year of Club activities. This event includes a tomato-themed potluck and a contest for the best tomatoes. The potluck dishes are also judged according to category. You do not have to grow your own tomatoes to participate. Potluck dishes can be made from home-grown or purchased tomatoes.
Each year members eagerly await the recipes from our annual Tomato Tasting event. You can find many of them in our LAVGC Favorite Recipes cookbook.
Participation
This event is open to all members. You do not need to enter your tomatoes or potluck dishes in the judging events to attend. You can just come and enjoy a wonderful potluck and the camaraderie of other members.
Meeting times
A special email goes out to members in the late summer to announce the date for the Tomato Tasting event.
