Tomato Tasting 2019

LAVGC's 23rd Annual Tomato Tasting was held on Saturday August 24th. We had 43 attendees gather at the Eden Garden Barn for a fun afternoon of tomato judging and gardening fellowship. If you have not joined us before this is an opportunity for a tasty and social get together in the summer when we are not having our monthly meetings.

We have 5 categories for friendly judging. Tomatoes off the vine - either slicers, cherries or paste tomatoes and the savory or sweet category for home made dishes. Winners have their choice of prizes: an apron, tote, or tea towels all beautifully embroidered by our own Kim Billingsley with a tomato graphic surrounded by 'The Livermore Amador Valley Garden Club Annual Tomato Tasting 2019'.

Thank you to everyone for braving the hot weather to come out and participate with such great entries!

Many thanks to Kim Billingsley for her fantastic embroidery and to Kim & Gayle Pawloski for ensuring that we had another fun & memorable tomato tasting!!

This years winners are:

Please come and join us in August of 2020 for LAVGC's 24th Annual Tomato Tasting!
